A classmate in my MKT 351 Class Said Something Very Entertaining this Week

A classmate of mine in my MKT 351 class said something very entertaining this week. First of all, he works in a sneaker store. It was funny to hear him mention that he hates it when customers ask him stupid questions. He claims that most of the questions that they ask the answers are right in front of them if only they can read. Also, he said that they constantly ask him the same questions all the time. One of the crazy moments of his job is when he deals with a customer and he measures his foot it is a size 8 1/2. Yet, he insists on getting a size 13 sneaker.

My Professor mentioned something very interesting in my MKT class this week

My professor talked about something very interesting in class this week in my marketing class. He was talking about sexual harassment. He started it off by when he first became VP of a particular airline, this woman was at a company party, and she was grinding up to just about every guy at the party. Later, he heard that this lady and a man had sex in a private room within the office. Afterwards, she claimed that she was raped. My professor thought it was hard to believe because why wouldn’t she report it to the police first. However, he had to handle it. So, he asked the guy what happened, and he admitted that he had sex with her. So, he fired him because it was against company policy to have sex in the office premises.

My Test Results from my First Exam

On Wednesday April 2, I had my MKT 351 class. We had a speaker come in who works in the provost office. He wanted to find out what we thought was wrong with York College. The main issue that some of my classmates complained about was some inefficient workers in the registrars office. Also, we got our tests back that day. I thought maybe I got somewhere in the 70's. When I got my test back, I was surprised that I got a 94.

A Reflection of my MKT 351 Class

I am going to mention something a little different this week because I did not have my MKT 351 class since a Mondays schedule replaced Wednesday classes. At first, I thought the assignments that our professor gave us to do would have been almost impossible. However, as I started to understand more of the assignment, I realized that it wasn't as difficult as I had thought. I have found the professor's lectures in that class were very interesting.

On March 19, I had my first exam in MKT 351. No, it wasn't the type of exam that I mentioned in a prior post that was a cumulative effort that we used this clicker to register our answers on this screen for all of us to see how the majority answered for which question. This was an actual exam where we didn't know how the other classmates answered them. It consisted of 50 plus 5 extra credit questions. I studied very hard for that exam. I read each chapter that was going to be on the test three times. Also, he informed us which pages we should focus on. I read those pages another three times. When I took the exam, I was pleased that I was familiar with most of the questions. However, some of the questions were tricky. Overall, I think I did well in the exam.

On March 12, I performed a presentation with my group for MKT 351 class. I was very worried that we wouldn't be prepared for it. We at first had 5 groups members. One of them dropped the class. The other group member lets say put in a nice way has some issues. The most important meeting we had together which was on Tuesday the day before the presentation, she didn't even show up. One of our group members called her to find out if she was coming. She said due to her apartment not having any heat. She probably wouldn't be able to make it that day. She told her that she would call her back in about 10 minutes. After 30 minutes, we realized she wasn't going to call her back. I personally thought that excuse couldn't be anymore lame. Later, we decided to vote her out of the group because we had to know what everyone was doing for our presentation the next day and to prepare the powerpoint slides according to that. We went to the professor who was fortunately in his office, and he agreed with us. During the day of our presentation, I was very surprised that we did an excellent presentation. Afterwards several people in the class told us we did very well.

On Thursday March 6, I had ENG 384. I wanted to comment on the trials and tribulations that I had trying to put my web template together. First of all, I wanted to say that the professor's instructions on what we had to do on his web site were very clear. For the most part, I was able to follow step by step what I had to do. However, some things weren't coming out right that I didn't see that could encounter in his tutorials. Despite this thanks to the professor's great knowledge of the web, he was able to solve my problems. Also, now my web template is up and running.
